Danna Smith is an artist, poetry blogger, and award-winning author of over twenty-five traditionally published children’s books. She founded Plumbago Press to bring quality passion projects to life.
As a child, Danna’s favorite toy was a pencil—she wrote stories, crafted poems, and doodled wherever she went. Named after plumbago (the soft graphite core of a lead pencil), her press pays tribute to the tool that first allowed a young girl to express herself and sketch out her dreams of becoming an author and artist. Though her main tool today is a keyboard, that same creative spirit drives everything she creates.
